Traveller News from Steve Jackson

Traveller News from Steve Jackson
Steve Jackson Games announced today that they have signed an agreement with Marc Miller (the creator of Traveller) to continue to publish Traveller for another three years. In addition, SJ Games is preparing to delve into a previously uncharted time period in the Traveller universe. In the summer of 2003 Steve Jackson will release GURPS Traveller: The Interstellar Wars, focusing on the period in which humans from Terra: reached the stars for the first time, only to find that they were already owned by someone else. Centuries of conflict followed, in which the outnumbered Terrans fought for their very survival against a vast but decadent alien empire. We are all looking forward to this.

Even More Traveller News
RPG Realms has announced that the opportunity for consumers to pre-order the new D20 version of Traveller (T20) at a discount has ended. Citing concerns from game shops that the discount was going to hurt sales, RPG Realms has pulled their offer. However, if you want a look at (and perhaps playest) the new Traveller T20, check out the free PDF download of Traveller T20 Lite Rule Book on the official T20 site.
