Audio Report: KublaCon and the business of cons
After we get through with the KublaCon recap, Chris runs down a thumbnail sketch of the business side of game conventions. I think it's a fascinating listen. And a lot of the usual gaming goodness too. Get on it!

Just FYI, I've gone ahead and placed the following review for the Audio Report up in the iTunes store.
The OgreCave Audio Report is a semi-bi-weekly/monthly podcast about games -- mainly centering on role-playing games, but pretty much any non-video or non-computer game is discussed here. The podcast covers current news and events in the gaming world, an occasional game review, and interviews. Sound quality in the Audio Report can be a major headache, depending on which episode you listen to, but the quality of the discussions are worth braving it out. Although there are several gaming and gaming-industry related podcasts one could listen to, most are from the viewpoint of gamers. Chris Hanrahan, one of the partners of a game store in Oakland, is a regular guest on the show and brings the perspective from your Friendly Local Game Store owner, a perspective that isn't often illustrated in gaming podcasts. Despite the difficulty with the sound quality and the irregular schedule, this is my favorite gaming podcast. (If the sound quality wasn't so bad in recent podcasts, I would have awarded this podcast five stars.)

I was wondering the same thing, Anon. 'course, my first thought was actually something along the lines of:
OgreCave raves about Legos and Wizkids
Lego pulls production out of North America and lays off 1200
Wizkids reorgs and lays off an undisclosed number
Being liked by the OgreCave is dangerous!
Seriously though, the WizKids news is really unfortunate, but can't be much of a surprise given the series of poor performers recently (ignoring ToonClix and HorrorClix - come on people...do they really think those will sell???).

Thomas: Thanks for the feedback, and the kind words. We've improved on the sound a bit recently, and in upcoming shows you'll hear me speak without being in a tin can! Shocking, I know. ;-)
We'll keep working on it, and you guys keep telling us what's working. Thanks!
