10 Days in Africa arrives at GameTable Online

If you're up for an online version of a nifty boardgame (one nifty enough to have had a pair of sequels), GameTable Online has something to entice you with. From tomorrow though the end of February, a new online version of 10 Days in Africa by Out of the Box will be available to non-subscribers. The site will also be hosting a chat with designer Aaron Weissblum, and two tournaments. See the press release below for the details, and start planning your travel itinerary if so inclined.

Northampton, Massachusetts - February 10, 2006 - GameTable Online, Inc. and Out of the Box Publishing, Inc. have once again joined forces to bring a great strategy game to the internet with 10 Days in Africa. 10 Days in Africa was originally designed by Alan Moon and Aaron Weissblum and has received several awards including being named one of 2004 's Best games by About. com and Mensa.

Joe Minton, President of Game Table Online was thrilled how the game came out. "The vibrant colors of the board really come alive on the screen. 10 Days in Africa is a perfect fit for an online game site because it is easy to teach via chat but also engaging enough for high replay-ability."

10 Days of Free Play
To inaugurate the arrival of 10 Days in Africa we are opening the game up for 10 days (February 18th to the 28th) to the game During that week, non-subscribers will have chance to try out the this new online game. In addition to open gaming, there will be hosted tutorial sessions, scheduled game visits with Out of the Box staff and a strategy tip chat session with designer Aaron Weissblum and GameTable Online Customer Service Manager, Robert Eng. There will also be two tournaments of the featured game on Sunday February 19th at 2:00 pm and Monday February 27th at 8:00 pm. Times are Eastern Standard Time (GMT-5). For each tournament, the grand prize will be an Aaron Weissblum autographed edition of the real-world game. If the winner of the first tournament wins the second one, the second prize will pass to the runner-up of the second tournament
