Companies gearing up for GTS '04

WizKids has announced their GTS premiere and giveaway, of course. But I'm hearing that AEG will have a surprise to give to retailers, too: the Spycraft CCG. I haven't been able to confirm this yet, but that's what I'm hearing. I've also heard that the next expansion set for the D&D Miniatures, titled Archfiends, will have exactly that: some of the big boys of evil, including Orcus and Demogorgon figures. I'm betting those'd be rares.

I've heard rumors about this, including having see a supposed spoiler site at http://www.angelfire.com/games5/shadowpatriots. the site looks cheesy and none of the sources are named so I doubt there is any validity to this.

AEG's official comment on this rumor is "we can neither confirm or deny the existance of any rumored product."

I've got a source that indirectly confirms the Spycraft CCG. Also, having received pre-release review boxes of Archfiends, I can confirm the figures I mentioned are in the set. Just look through the D&D Miniatures Handbook (the hardcover) to see more figures that are in the set.

Oh, and I can also confirm what one of our readers posted elsewhere on the site: the price hike of the D&D Miniatures Expansion Packs has been recinded... for the Archfiends expansion, at least. Due to increasing production costs, including a new type of paint, MSRP on Expansion Packs will go up to $12.99, and "Huge Packs", whatever those are, will be $19.99.

AEG can neither confirm or deny the supposition of a "Spycraft CCG". Any further commentary and questions on this subject or the Shadow Patriots website (http://www.angelfire.com/games5/shadowpatriots) can be directed to myself here at AEG. Just email me at mleader@alderac.com
